Work is really dead as I expected it would be. Going to go ahead and install the new bidet. Should be a 5 minute job at the most since I don't need to install all the auxiliary water lines. I can reuse the existing ones and just install the unit itself. One hose to hook up, plus the two bolts that hold it to the seat.

Well, my simple bidet installation hit a little bump in the road. Going to need to replace the shut off valve to the toilet. As is often the case with old valves, once I shut it off and turned it back on, it started leaking. Tried tightening the packing nut to no avail. So I guess I'll make a trip to the hardware store after I get off work. I think it's a compression fit, but I want to replace it with a shark bite valve if they have one.

Just looked again and my valve is just threaded on, not a compression fit. That's even better (easier).

Back from the Honda dealership. Our CRVs AC wasn't working and takes a special coolant. Found out there was an unannounced issue with the compressor....2 hrs, no charge! Now it's freezing us out!
