I've wondered how much his knives cost, but I'm afraid to ask.Nah, he just makes me look good.
Thanks for that!I pour composites to make blanks. Those are then turned into whatever someone wants to make from them.
I used to cast rods for pen makers around the world. As of late, I cast blocks that are used to make grips and knife scales.
I used to make a lot of pens, and that's where I got started with casting, some 20 years ago.
There's a gentleman on this forum that goes by Frosty, that has purchased several blanks from me and has made
them even better, by adding them to his beautiful knives.
For me, casting is an addiction.
Nah, right back. Those are beautiful!Nah, he just makes me look good.
Whatever the price, it's worth it. Especially his Damascus. His leatherwork is pretty amazing as well.I've wondered how much his knives cost, but I'm afraid to ask.
Casting metal and composites are worlds apart. Thanks for that!
Sounds like a great skill to have. Impressive.
I've been interested in casting for a while, but no clue of the ins and outs.
I've only done some bullets, balls and slugs, that's about it.
Appreciate it.Nah, right back. Those are beautiful!
Oh yeah, agreed on both!Whatever the price, it's worth it. Especially his Damascus. His leatherwork is pretty amazing as well.
Hello Greg.Hi Lpherr
That knife looks great!
I'm going to attempt to stay up a little later. The Mrs. has a movie she would like to watch, and I fell asleep last night.I'll be going to bed early again tonight. I'm hoping Ruthie doesn't drink a whole bowl of water tonight like she did last night (and had to go out 3x).
They remind me of some bowling balls from back in the 70's! Of course I'd not be surprised to find that the process for both is similar.

Yeah, my days usually start at 2:30am.I've got to get up at 3 again tomorrow to go in to the office.
Dang! On purpose??Yeah, my days usually start at 2:30am.
Similar, but different material. There was a while, where people cut the acrylic off bowling balls, flattened it, and made pens. They remind me of some bowling balls from back in the 70's! Of course I'd not be surprised to find that the process for both is similar.
