I've never understood people that feel they need to upgrade what basically is a brand new gun. I have guns that are over 100 years old that work just fine with the original parts.I think I need to upgrade the extractor on the 10/22.

Well, I guess they don't make them like they used to in the 1890's.Well, this is an early 90's 10/22. It has a new barrel and it doesn't extract manually anymore. It does extract when fired...most of the time...?

It's been a source of amazement to me as a C&R collector with the way these old guns were made, compared to modern military weapons.No, they don't.
Agree about the cleaning rod or dowel.Like, I can't dig this round out with my fingernail and I'm not going to use a screwdriver like an idiot. Best to take a cleaning rod or dowell from the other end...
So the moral of the story is, "Just keep shooting."Also explains why it extracts easy when firing.
