Good day all. And a big Thank You to our neighbors to the north for today’s smoke filled air. Can smell it, see it, and feel it in my lungs when outside. Visibility is pretty low, I can see tree line sort of about 3/4 mile away. Closer, about 3/8 mile a neighbor has a Harley Davidson orange colored canopy over his pontoon. At times I have to strain to pick out the orange, everything else along shore at that point is a blur.
Checked our rain gauge and after yesterday’s showers we are now at 2” , again guess considerably more as it was in the wind. Talked with a neighbor whose gauge was in an area protected from the wind and they showed 3”.
Spent time cleaning this morning. Heading out to CVS for a script, to vet to pick up medication to help sedate dogs for Monday evening’s fireworks, and then slide into Chubbie’s for Tenderloin Tuesday.
Been a hazy gray day all day today. I was catching whiffs of smoke smell earlier but wasn't sure if it was from the Canadian smoke or if a neighbor was burning something.
