If they release a more convincing photo, then great.

I just don't want anybody believing this photo that is currently seen everywhere.

There is NO photo to this point. And NO body. And many questions.

That's what happens when someone is wrapped up in looking for conspiracies.
The truth can smack them in the face and they don't see it. :n00b:

Americans could use a little more skepticism if you ask me. :sheep:

Nothing is smacking me in the face because I was skeptical from the get-go.

Were we told a lie about the Bay of Tonkin ?

Was JFK shot at by LHO and or only him ?

Are The monthly financial numbers the government releases truthful ?

Was ANFO the ONLY explosive used at OKC ?

    Bay of Pigs debacle

Were Americans Interned during world war 2 upheld by the Supreme Court ?

    Water Gate

Were we or were we not in Cambodia in the 1960's

If any one of these is answered yes to maybe ... logic dictates that suspicion be raised when evidence can not be corroborated .

    Thanks

To the OP...what are your thoughts on the reports that Bin Laden has been killed and buried at sea?

If it is true...do you consider it a good thing or bad?

I am skeptical that it happened. I think he's been dead a while.

If it did happen, I wouldn't be one of the people demanding that we desecrate his body, bathe in his blood, and stick pork rinds in his mouth. People should leave the jihad to the terrorists.

Good or bad thing? The act in itself is neither. I just wonder why? Why dispose of his body in such a strange and unconventional way? Why the special treatment? Was there no value to waiting a few more days and hanging on to the evidence? They destroyed the proof before Obama even made the announcement. Much less significant corpses have been kept for much longer periods of time to fully analyze them and preserve evidence. How about an autopsy... was he on dialysis all this time, as it has been reported?

Very very odd. But not surprising.

This picture that is all over the internet is FAKE.

There is NO VERIFIABLE EVIDENCE that anything you read yesterday is true.

[warning: graphic image of photo fakery]

Osama bin Laden corpse photo is fake
The authenticity of the photos making the rounds yesterday is completely independent of the veracity of the claim that OBL was killed within the past few days.

Why do you have to try to make point with such silly connections?

By your definition, if we hang onto the body, then we are terrorists as Islamic law follows Jewish law requiring burial within 24 hours.

Why dispose of his body in such a strange and unconventional way?

Because no one, not even Saudi Arabia (outside of The Sudan or the faculty lounge at Berkeley, what government would take his body?), would take the body and now no one can make a haj to his grave.

Was there no value to waiting a few more days and hanging on to the evidence?

    How about an autopsy

I thought you were against us misbehaving? Islamic law requires immediate burial. Autopsies are frowned on, unless to determine cause of death if foul play suspected, but no just cutting bodies up to be cutting bodies up.

You cannot have it both ways. We either behave or we mistreat the body.

Holding the body is not misbehaving, and not akin to terrorism. I'll go on record and say it.

I thought I made it clear which type of posts I was referring to as jihad: the immature, provocative ones that serve no purpose in regards to conducting an investigation. Those are just people with a grudge against a religion.

The U.S. Government is not a Muslim funeral home. Bin Laden was a suspect in terrorism crimes. His corpse was evidence. I don't feel that dumping bodies of suspects into the ocean was a prudent method of ending this thing.
