And since he's an enemy of the deep state/establishment, this wont be like other stings where they set up the stooge and then swoop in and snag him before he can do anything harmful. (e.g. offer to give him the weapon and then after he accepts the weapon, they flash badges and arrest him, followed by a press conference showing the world how well they prevent a mass shooter.)

No, this time they will "mess up" and not get to him in time. Oh. Darn. Looks like we missed him.

And then take him out just so there aren't any loose ends. I'm sure they have done some AARs from their past operations.

I still lean towards incompetence, but have no problem at all in believing a deep state plot. It just seems that if there was a plot, some evidence of why the most likely spot for an assassins shot being left completely unguarded would be offered; other than DEI hires and the inevitable incompetence. Hopefully we will learn the answers, although I have my doubts.

As I said, I’m open to that view point. It really does get hard to ascribe everything to incompetence. Could be though. I am just an evidence first guy though. I want to see something, other than a good theory, that I think is possible, explain something that incompetence cannot. Maybe the deep state is that good.
