Well, that's what compromise is. Sometimes you have to give something up to get something. So if I'm going to have to negotiate with people who disagree with me, if I have to give up something, I'd rather give up something that's not much more than symbolic. Removing funding from planned parenthood isn't really going to impact abortions.

I'd like to see Obamacare completely wiped off the books. There just aren't the votes to do that. Take an all or nothing approach and you still end up not defunding PP.

Or, since the budget issue went so terribly sideways, they need to fall back to a success.
