So they're saying he accomplished whatever in the first two weeks of presidency. BullFebruary – Deadline for submission. The Committee bases its assessment on nominations that must be postmarked no later than 1 February each year. Nominations postmarked and received after this date are included in the following year's discussions. In recent years, the Committee has received close to 200 different nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize. The number of nominating letters is much higher, as many are for the same candidates.
I wouldn't read that much into this. I caught a little of that Morning Joe show with Joe Scarborough and he pointed out that the likes of Jimmy Carter and Al Gore won the Nobel Prize as well.
It appears to be more of a glamorous award these days. They said there was one nominee who had built 120 small schools in remote villages in Pakistan in an effort to get young girls educated and escape the abuse. There is actual proof of the good they did, not just rehtoric like Obama.
Like Al Gore wasn't bad enough. The nominations was 10 days after he was in office. This puts the exclamation point on the NPP being a big political popularity joke. Too bad all the other deserving people aren't considered anymore.
Is there another planet to move to. This one needs to start over.
The nominations was 10 days after he was in office.
Now that's definitely faked. Aren't the deadlines for nominations the end of January?
Correct me if that's wrong. But if the timeline doesn't match up...well...you know.
