Was it from between the valve, and the pipe stem that comes up from the bottle? (need new bottle. and let someone know about it)
Was it from the valve itself? (same as above)
Was it from between the valve, and the hose leading to the grill? (might be a missing 0-ring/gasket)
It was between the valve handle whatever it was connected to. When I opened it I felt the gas coming out on my hand. I exchanged it at Walgreens.

    How's your lawn looking?

10 days ago, it was dormant, yellow and heat stressed. Then we got the rain early last week and it greened up quite a bit. I picked up some fertilizer and figured it had gotten enough moisture to not burn....I was never more right in my life. I put down some fert Thursday then it rained Thursday and Friday- put the rest down Saturday, then got an inch of rain overnight Saturday, then 1 1/2 inches while we were in church Sunday- then 2 inches Sunday night and another 1/2 in last night. That totaled about 8 1/2 inches since last Monday.

The irony- the "big part" of the front yard (about 32k sq ft) got the fert first...and is now too wet to mow without muddy tire tracks and is taking off ...hopefully we can mow it tomorrow or Thursday.

Oh, and now I have this messin' up the lawn:

There goes my fun- my neighbor is home from work today because he got an insect sting on his face and swelled up really bad- leading to an ER visit most of the night....so since he didn't go to work (normally he started around 5a), he came over to our house this afternoon, cut up the tree and the part of the other tree...because he can't sit still.

    I need better neighbors.

I was out chain sawing one of several small trees that fell and my neighbor pulled in the drive, car remained running so the air conditioner could keep him cool and told me I was doing it all wrong. Of course he is driving an older Lincoln Town Car, so that gives you a hint at how old he is, so clearly he knows more.

Now blue rhino owns the tank that you traded in you own the tank you have?
Actually Blue Rhino owns both of them now.

I always fill my tanks at a bulk seller. I get 20 pounds of Propane/LP that way. I believe Blue Rhino tanks only have 14 pounds in them.

A tank you own costs about $40-$50.

Same here. I fill at a local company that services trailer parks. You get more propane for less money. However when a tank has outlived it's life, trading it in is a no-brainer vs buying a new tank

My freon gave out last week. 2 year old unit. Cost $600 for freon and "overtime" service call. What did you get done for $100?

Plus he couldn't find a leak, so I assume it's going to go bad again.

    .

If it works but looks stupid... it works.
One of my subs, capacitor, $20 part, $80 after hours service call.

    It pays to have friends.

I was so excited that I forgot to tip him. I'll slip him $20, Sunday when I see him.

Freon leaks can only be detected by draining the system, loading it with nitrogen, and using a detector, and fixing the leak. Then draining the system, pulling a vacuum and re filling with freon.

That probably costs double or more what you paid, Steve.

However around 5 hours later the power failed for the first time in about ten years.

The good thing is I have a generator and lots of miluakee battery lights.

The bad thing is I didn't think of it until this morning. :n00b:
