Just chiming in about gutters, as T said, quite happy with eeinengburg (or whatever) Tod was thorough, communicated well, and they did a great job, not sure if they were average or expensive but it was about $4k, keep in mind they ran almost 500’ of 6” gutters with 4” downspouts on a two story cape cod, plus gutter guards on the barn only, not the house.

Called momper, beautyguard, style craft, dmg, and a couple others, style craft and eburg were the only two that even bothered to come out and give estimates.

500 ft is a bunch of gutter! I'd have less than half that for my house and garage. I didn't know Beautyguard did installation. I knew they were a supply house. One of our first clients, been doing their printing since 1985. Decent folks. I think they're on the second or third generation now, so maybe things have changed.

    Correct there are several.
The monarch butterflies go as far north as Canada and all the way to Mexico.
YES, but I was referring to the Peggy Nortbart Butterfly room where you can go, with your family (after dodging bullets) and enjoy the tranquilly of the butterfly release in the room where they land on you (presumably they also poop on you) and you can relish the simple peace and tranquilly of the freshly hatched butterflies as they land on your head, limbs and clothing and you can marvel at their ability to create smiles. All without the need for a passport to go to Canuckland, a land more socialist than Chiraq.

Sitting outside on the patio enjoying the cooler temps, and a beer or 6. I'll head inside if it arrives or 11pm, whichever comes first
Driving home from St Snob after giving some fencing lessons tonight the sky to the SouthWest was flashing with lightning. It was distant flashes, no sounds of thunder. So not sure if it will hit far suburban Lowellabama or not. But at 11pm now, the air is nice and comfortable, for now.

It rained more in the front yard than the backyard here. Had 2.5" in frontyard and 1.75" in the backyard when I left for work this morning at 6:30
I have stood on one side of the street and watched a downpour on the other side.

Bit larger, but we've sat by the start/finish line at the Indy 500 where there was a line of rain in turn 4 to turn 3. The crowd cheered for the rain relief while we watched in the heat. They stopped the race, and since it was only in 2 corners, drying the track was done pretty quickly.

DMG is always booked (& usually not the cheapest). They finished our basement right as covid ramped up (FYI: they no longer do basements).

Trim-a-seal might be an option. K2 Construction did my roof on the old house, and they did the roof and gutters on my neighbor's.

Speaking of gutter guards, what kind do you all have? I always hear mixed reviews on them but I need something we just have too many trees to not look into it. Just got a new roof and gutters 2 years ago but didn't do the guards.

    one per year

started that about 15 years ago

not a bad way to live a life

spend a lot of time as a volunteer coach, just got a new contract from Purdue University, refused pay, but I made sure I could park on campus without getting towed, they did include a clause that says I'm not allowed to have sex with the college kids :fogey:

starting to work with a fencer from Peru who wants to go to the Olympics, he will be living in Crown Point and coming to my club

And just got back from a trip where I saw the world's largest JackAlope

    life is good

We had a meeting with a financial planner. He is drawing up the paperwork. Hopefully sooner than later.

Those college kids will be protesting when they hear about that clause,

I saw my first jackalope on the wall in a little cafe in Gillette Wyoming. They had jackalope on the menu too. You had a choice of snared or roadkill. (same price)
