OK so what happened to the idea of a group buy on .22LR ammo?
    Anyone found a seller? Links?
I did *some* looking around online and couldn't find anything that would save us money after shipping.
Maybe someone with a C & R or FFL that gets a discount from the suppliers can find something, but I can't.

Thanks Bill B. I think Ghots of Winter has a C & R license. Don't think we have an FFL in the group. May have to see if one of the INDY INGO members can do this for us then. Might be a good excuse to do a run to IINDY to pick up the ammo. =)

We might have to do a bigger "feeler thread" for bulk AMMO on INGO then.

The .22 ammo idea came out of nowhere really. turnandshoot4 was talking about a silencer group buy, and indicated something about 9mm, and I said no, make it a .22 silencer group buy.

Looks like you're heading up a .22 ammo group buy jedi.

Okay well is there an interest in a .22 ammo group buy?
What is our target $ per round that we are looking at?

I think anything less than about $18 per 500 would be a good deal. I've seen prices locally from about $18-22 per 500 for hollow points, depending on manufacturer.
Like I said earlier, I did some looking online and can't find it cheaper when you add in shipping.

Cabelas has Federal 525 bulk boxes on sale right now for 15.99 and on Sat from 8am - 12pm for 14.99.
Thanks, I'll have to stop in to get some!
@Jedi-I checked all the ingo sponsor and advertiser sites, sportsman's guide, Cheaper than Dirt (I know, I know) and a few others that I don't remember.
Maybe if we do a bulk order through Blythe's or Westforth?:dunno:

The lines were very long @ cabela's this morning. I got there at 7:45. Got in got 6 boxes of .22 and was out the door. Tons of people for the sales. The .22 rack was looking bear when I got there. I was the first one to get to it. NO LIMIT ON BOXES BTW!

Guess I'm out of the "wanna be" .22LR group buy. I got enough to last me this whole season of the meet & shoots me thinks. Would like to have bought more but $$$ is tight.

While on the subject is it OK to just dump these loose into a metal ammo can?
    Thanks

Hmm, looks like a .22 can group buy is out. How about an ammo can group buy? That should be cheaper.
