I love my Colt. Probably more for the historic value than anything else.

Sig, Ruger, Smith &Wesson all make top notch 1911's at a fair price.

If you ask melensdad, you should buy a Detonics.

Really the 1911 world is so defined by minute detail that it's impossible to say what to look for. Everyone's got their own strong opinion.

Unless you're a seasoned collector and you already know what to look for, look at modern production guns, well reviewed, and take one shooting at a rental range before you spend your cash.

Myself, as much as I can appreciate the romantic idea of a single action 1911 as my carry gun, I just can't bring myself to do it regularly. It works well with formal attire, but not casual or less.

I love the 1911A1, but because of expense I don't shoot mine a lot anymore..

I like my Kimbers, Colt, and especially my Caspian Recon, but most quality 1911A1 manufacturers make a fine pistol...

If you have some 45 acp to burn up and want to try some of mine let me know.

Well I'm looking for a bigger truck now... Maybe something with 8 wheels and a bit of armor... I got my 4 by stuck on a sheet of ice today, well there was one person stuck already, and then me and then a tow truck, and then the smart one showed up with a 25 foot chain and started pulling us all back to roadway not covered by ice... Need a bigger truck with 8 wheel drive and a winch on each end... Anything else I'm missing you guys that know your way around big trucks ?

I'm also looking to move to a nice dry desert... if the whole truck thing doesn't work out...

On a different note feels a lot colder today then yesterday! Face and fingers hurt from being out for just a few minutes.

Actaeon, most of those trucks you posted are a bit expensive more me... most of this military stuff can be had for a lot cheaper and are like brand new.. Who would figure that the military would buy a really expensive truck and use it for like 20 hours and then auction it off for like 4 grand....

On the weather, I knew it was colder last night before it got colder as my everything hurts.....

but on a good note it is the second week of Feb..... which means only about 30 to possibly 60 days more of this crap... The Gunbunnies clock is working it's way towards more photo shoots on set in nice enough weather for the model and the photog to be able to walk around outdoors and not worry about hypothermia...
