    Just remember with the kind of soil we have in NWI if you plant tomato's, they will grow like wildfire and take over your garden. They strangled my corn plants last year.

    Where did you get it? I am looking hard for a 10/22 takedown tactical.

    Did some shooting today in the rain. Felt good to get out.

    good luck finding a tac take down, but ruger is pimping all the dealers right now in a promotion contest. $309 for a stainless takedown, $199 for a standard wood stock. (basically $50-60 off retail for any model) I grabbed one a dicks this morning.

    Jay, lay down 3 or 4 layers of newspaper on top of your grass (wet it as you are putting it down to keep it from blowing away) then put your new dirt on top of the newspaper. The newspaper will kill the grass and keep it from growing up through the new topsoil.

    My plan is to use cardboard. I've heard a lot of good thing about it.

    That works too. Same principle. Both shade the grass and allow it to die. Both then decompose and become part of the soil. I've used both with good results. Newspaper is generally easy to come by.

    ====== ON A DIFFERENT NOTE =======

    Since I sold my 1972 Snow Trac ST4 (see my Avatar photo) I've been looking for something else to play with. I found a Cline Turbo Vamoose for sale. Its only a 2 seater (my Snow Trac seated 7) but this has a small bed in the rear and it already has all-season tracks on it so that makes it practical for use around the property in the summer too!
