Doesn't much matter. Bring the beef jerky anyway. Its not like it is going to 'dry out' any more than it already is. Worst case, we save it for next time.

Correction. You can announce that you are showing up. But it is kind of foolhardy to announce that you are 'buying' for everyone!

However, now that he has made the announcement he may just want to get out a new pen and a blank piece of paper to take orders from everyone so he doesn't bring the wrong food.
