Belated Merry Christmas. Looks like the mill can't run without you there. Your just to valuable not to have on the property.

Of course. And, the last couple days they've run so short, they had an electrician filling in spots in our crew.
So I had bosses and electricians (Motor Inspectors) calling me at home to ask questions.

My answer.

Hire more qualified people.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas today.

We attended 'midnight mass' last night after a Christmas party with my brother & cousins in Munster. The mass at Our Lady of Grace in Highland was beautiful. Today was a pretty relaxing day. Opened presents and lounged around the house, watching Christmas movies, enjoying having Melen home from college, blah blah blah.

The lovely Mrs Bob is putting the finishing touches on dinner right now. Got a rib roast waiting to be carved on the kitchen counter.

I'm working Christmas, as usual.

Family gathering for my side was Sunday, wife's family on Friday.

Sad thing is were incredibly slow right now. Everyone scheduled their surgeries for after Christmas so we don't have anything going on, but I still need to be present on staff.

Oh well.

It is. I love what I do, but because of the nature of my specialty I don't have much flexibility in my schedule. If I'm needed on the unit, I have to be there.

*I've decided that to get the biggest materialistic bang out of my holiday dollars, I am going to start celebrating Orthodox Christmas. This will allow me to shop the after-Christmas sales and not be late with presents.

It's slicker than snot on a marble door knob out there.
I'm currently launching a sewer pickle at a pilot station in BFE, but I was doing an eyeball flattening 35 miles per hour on I65.

Yum! I think we have a half pound thawed.

No bacon at my house.

We finished it off yesterday. Melen made bacon pancakes. Plus we had bacon strips. And eggs over-easy, in bacon grease. And sausage patties, in bacon grease.

So its a sad day today. All the bacon is gone.
