When I'm back to work, I need to put my UPS battery on a higher priority. I have a UPS, the battery is down for the count. Lost the desktop power once. Getting ready to shut it down, get dinner, and move to laptop maybe.

Not really storming in SJ. A sprinkle here and there. It only just started raining hard a few minutes ago.

STorm stayed north of 30.

Left the hospital at 2020 and there were several spots where the water was at least 8" deep in the road as I was driving home. Wipers on high, 25mph, still couldn't see a dang thing.

Got south of Main street and it slowed to a drizzle, got south of 30 and my ditch was only a light flow, sump pump wasn't even running.

BTW if the earth is off axis today its because I'm going to be in the East Chicago Harbor area this morning. That is about as far north of US30 as I can get in Lake County ... and still stay dry.

do not forget that you can go a bit more north into Whitting or if you feel real, real, real brave go to the Wal-Mart that sits a few feet away from the IL State line! Heck even Jedi won't go there. Do see it when I go to the Casino Buffet but have never stepped foot into that Wal-Mart.
