Jedi, how many NWI members are there on your list as I see it is growing every day.

    Here is the running total
    INGunOwners - Member Count

I try to take the number every 20th of the month but sometimes I miss that mark. :(

    12 JAN 2013 = 265
as of today we are at 268.

The next BIG CLEANING will occur on 01 JUN 2013.
Basically if a member does not log into INGO for 5+ months I will boot them from NWI INGO. We have a few on that list that are getting close to that number. I cleaned the list twice last year and will do the same this year again.

BTW I do miss that "Venture Cafe" which was at the Venture's where Cabela's is now at (other side of the street). My grandparents would take me there as a kid and I always thought it was so cool to eat **INSIDE** the store and then get a GI Joe action figure!

I remember the Venture and Service Merchandise. As a kid I thought it was neat that they would pull your items from the back and out them on the conveyed belt to the pick up counter.

I hated service merchandise. They have very little toys and it was mostly junk stuff.
no gi joes. Plus it took forever to get your stuff upon checkout and I recall my mom say the store was expensive lots of time.

Woolworth??? :dunno: where was that one at?
I remember my grandma would talk about goldblots ???sp??? in downtown hammond and gary. She told me it was like marshall fields but in Indiana. No idea about that store as they were both by the time I was a kid.

I do remember builder square and that store was bbbbboooorrrrriiiinnnnggg. No toys at all!!! The other store I vagule recall was called A&P it was in the harbor a grocery/retail store I think. My grandma would collect these stickers and she would put the stickers on some sheet and after so many sticker/stampa the store would give you a coffee machine, iron, etc.. when my grandma passes away and we went thru her stuff in the basement we found 20 coffee machines brand new some from a&p, venture, zyares.

You gotta remember I grew up in Chicago.

i remember Woolworth was 5 blocks from our house and we would walk there with my mom and dad. Goldblodts was about 15 miles away.

I LOVED service merchandise. I used to look through the catalog all year. I bought my Swiss Champ Swiss Army knife there when I was 15 years old for what at the time was a hole years worth of money. I still have and use that thing.

There used to be a store called Ben Franklins in this area when I was young and they had a cool staircase that led to the lower level and I'd go down there and pick out He-Man and Thundercats toys.

Back in my day...we has to crank start the horseless carriage.

North hammond WM had 2 boxes of .40 yesterday. If you read my rant post, you know I won't be buying it.
