Well, since this is my long day, got off work at 3 pm go back at 3pm, and don't want to go to sleep until later. I just busted out my Santa Suit to make sure it's nice and tidy and not missing anything. And since it was out.... I decided to put it on and scare the dogs.

Practiced a few ho ho ho's and Merry Christmas'. Also the famous "Have you been listening to your mommy and daddy?" "How are you doing in school?" and "Have you been good this year?" along with a few lines for the adults, because everyone has to sit on Santa's lap at the family Christmas party.

And if I have to say so myself... Yeah, I still got it.

Now I just have to find an attractive way to attach the "Sleigh Bells" instead of carrying them or looping them in the belt. Carrying the is awkward and lopping them always seems to fall. And there's nothing worse then a hot sweaty Santa bending over trying to find his sleigh bells. The wig/beard with the combination of wearing my glasses, makes it hard to see.

I do need to buy some spirit gum for the beard, I seem to have misplaced it last year.

So what's the issue? You felt like a criminal having to wait and be escorted, unarmed to the 2nd floor to try some holsters? :dunno:

    1) You should call ahead and let them know you are coming so someone can be ready for you. Lowendgenerator advised that. If you tell them what gun you are bring they can even get the holsters ready for you.

Or better yet head over to Blythe's in Valpo where you can try the holster's out in the indoor gun range area or come in with a loaded gun, you are sent to the gun range area to unload, and then told to come back to the shop area. :D

You should of being like some of the paranoid members that we have that have 2 guns on them plus 2 knifes as well when they carry.

There are people who only carry one gun? ... one knife? .... seriously?

    Also ...

    Any more word on this?

... On another note, anyone hear from "aclark" since the BLYTHE'S SHOOT? His wife was due to give birth the next day. He frequently stops into the 1101 Cigar Lounge on his lunch hour on Wednesday to do his paperwork and use the free Wi-Fi to transmit his work back to his office. I have not seen him since Blythe's so I was curious if anyone found out about his new baby???

There is no point in being 1st or 250th in line as no one knows where the rifle is at.
The first 250 (I think that is the number) will get a cabelas envelope passed out by the manager of the store. Inside the envelope (they are random) is
    1 rifle
    1 other items
And the rest are gift cards most are for $5.

Last year they had four $100 gift cards, 8 $75 gift cards, 16 $50 gift cards, and 16 $25 gift cards, the rest were $5 cards iirc.

So as long as you get there and are under the xxx number (250 I think) you have a chance of getting the rifle since the envelopes are random.

I was there at midnight last year and I number 8 something in line.

So are you saying If I called first things would've gone differently?

Absolutely. I could have saved you a trip, and told you that the only holsters Cabelas has in stock that would with your FNX or Sig are the generic nylon Bulldogs.

Almost all of the customers that leave unhappy assumed Cabelas has everything in stock, and didn't call first.

No ones perfect. Did you find what you were looking for at Blythes?

    So Where you there today?

Everyone's gotta take a day off sometime. :D

PRO-TIP: if your question doesn't pertain to a firearm, ask for the Hunting department. They handle holsters, ammo, mags, and all other accessories. Gun Counter handles firearms only.
