Not a drop of rain or hail here, the wind blew the trees a bit and we saw lightening to the north.

As for holsters, I have and like Galco, Bianchi and Don Hume for OWB type holsters. I've for other brands too but don't recommend them. All Mine are leather. BTW I hate paddle holsters for OC

This is going to sound stupid, but i only have iwb holsters. Paddle holsters slide over your belt correct, and the pancake style has the belt go through it? Really just venturing into the whole oc thing

Yes on the paddle. I have a leather Galco paddle holster for my Beretta.

For leather I would have to second Galco...

If you want to wait for the quality you can't beat Milt Sparks stuff...

    Milt Sparks Holsters

    :yesway:

I could not recommend Milt Sparks highly enough. The pinnacle of Milt Sparks Holsters would be the Versa Max II.

Put it this way ... I was in the holster-of-the-month club for a long time until I bought my first MS VMII. I now own a VMII for each of my carry guns.

Check out citadel tactical in Michigan city (yes, the guys tgat were just in the paper for federal violations) :( but they sell awesome quality leAther holsters from Michigan & most are 35-45 bucks and guarantee they have anything you want for a 1911, they love 1911's, hate Tupperware :D

When I was skinnier... I used the Milt Sparks Summer Special for my 1911A1's... Also back when 45 acp was affordable to shoot all the time. Milt Sparks makes top of the line leather products...

Thanks everyone for the input. The Milt sparks are beautiful. The versa 2 looks great, bit the problem is the iwb, the 1911 frame, and my body. When I carry a full frame semi auto iwb, it makes the grip stick out. So it prints horribly, that's why i usually carry my glock 19. But i would rather carry one of my 1911s , so i figure It's either lose weight, or oc.

Question for you fine people, I'm looking for a good leather holster for oc, what brands would you recommend, and where I can purchase them? I don't want to buy online, because I'll need to make sure it fits the gun.

Milt Sparks are great, if you can't afford those, Galco are also great and have owned a couple for years. Both are fine products.
Rosen is another great leather holster Company

I second the Mitch Rosen line.
My present and past EDCs were/are carried in a "workman"
    Very good quality.
    Comfortable.
    Its custom built.
You tell them the gun make/model and accessories.
    Which side
    Belt size
    Color
Downside is a little pricy, and takes a while to get it. (Custom)

    Anybody at the clubhouse?

AKA 1101 cigar lounge? I'll be heading out in a few minutes to pick up my smoke for the week and some pyrotechnic supplies for the weekend.
