I personally think work is jumping the gun..... We need to run a skeleton crew for awhile.... **** can get worse and in 2 weeks we might be laid off..... No reason to go back full tilt now

Kid's checkup is tomorrow. All these procedures and rules are something else. Wife is downstairs making masks (apparently the ones I have in my toolbox aren't "good enough").Even the dentist is reopening with crazy rules. Pretty sure I can bypass most since my dentist lives less than 1/2 mile away and I was just over there a couple days ago.

About homemade masks ... they're pretty much theatrics. I mean, sure, they offer some filtration but it's minimal at its very best. I guess it's better than a sharp stick in the eye but don't go betting your life on it if you need a mask. They are mostly for the people around you ... basically catch droplets of shmoo and spittle that come out of your mouth. As melensdad pointed out upstream in the thread, a lot of people don't even know how to properly don/doff PPE.

Put a coffee filter inside the homemade mask and it does a pretty darn good job of filtering. Its not an N95 but its roughly an N50. A piece of cloth is something closer to an N2.5

Me and you need to talk sometime. I've been lazy about tracking down other SJ INGO members but this might be the time to do it.
