Just got my 30 botox shots for migraines.
So I'll hopefully be okay for a couple months.
Doc gave me the name of 3 new treatments to look into, since during the third month after my shots the migraines seem to come back with a vengeance.

So do you know what a migraine is, like what is actually happening? I want to know more and anytime I Google I get lost in a rabbit hole and am persuaded I have cancer

You guys should've stopped by the shop last night and petted a horsey. Out of staters broke their rig.

    I don't know much.
It's something in the brain. Weird activity, like misfiring or something.
So pain pills often won't work. Migraine pills are tailored to affect the proper part of the brain.
There are many symptoms, various people will have various symptoms.
Mine feel like a midget is in my brain, stabbing the backside of one of my eyeballs with an ice pick.
Usually the right eye, but sometimes the left. I don't think it's ever been both.
Memory is not listed as a symptom. BUT... I usually have a problem remembering stuff because of being so miserable and concentrating on the misery.
Nausea. If my migraine is a bad one, then I get nauseous. If it gets worse, I puke. Often and hard.
If you are sick from something you ate, you often feel better after puking.
But with a migraine, the problem isn't the stomach, it's the electrical activity of the brain.
So after you puke, you might feel better for a bit, then you're back to puking.
Monday I was puking so hard, I thought I was going to pass out because I couldn't get a breath.
I would try to breath in, but the body was still trying to puke out.

    Some people get "visual distortion".
Since I don't get it, I have to go with what others have said.
But they get a blurred part of vision, and odd "smeared" colors.

I get the visual disturbances. For me, first it's just a sensitivity to light, then it's jaggedy flashing patches of distortion, then it's big blind spots of no vision at all. I used to get stabbing pain in one eyeball, but now I get more nausea than pain. Not as much puking as Act gets, but still some. Nothing helps mine, but fortunately I only get one every couple of months, maybe, and they last a day or two.

This would be the only way I would turn one in. Though if I could strip the parts and sell them I would do that first. That is if it isn't some sub 100 dollar Saturday night special. I do have a h&r premier I bought off here for 50 bucks with half a box of ammo. The ammo for a full box was 26 I got half a box in the deal. I really only spent 37 for the gun. I could turn a profit but it still functions and the ones lately on GB already go for 100.
It was a crappy Charles Daly 1911. Parts are as junky as the rest of the pistol. Jammed every magazine, worked on the ramp on the frame, doesn't even load now, lol. Learned a huge lesson, research pays for itself and some make crap 1911s.

Optical auras. Yup. This is what I get.

    I forgot.
Sensitivity can be to light or noise.
I'm lucky. :) I get both. Bright lights or loud sounds are like driving nails into my head.
Good thing I don't have lights or sound in the mill. :)

I was puking so bad at work one time because of a migraine, production workers called the boss.
I was disturbing them with the sounds of puking.

Shot two raccoons early this morning.

I've shot my fair share but generally leave them to the woods.

If they try to invade my house or if they are diseased or if the dogs tear them up then I will dispatch them.

In my 24+ years on this property, with a house that is 2/3rds surrounded by woods, I've had 1 that tried to get in and couldn't be chased off.

Maybe 2 that were diseased and clearly in some sort of medical distress (possibly rabid???).

Perhaps 8 raccoons, as many rabbits and a couple feral cats that got into the fenced dog area that were then torn up by my Akita's but somehow still alive and were simply put out of their misery by a bullet to end their suffering.

My general rule is that if wildlife is in the wild and I'm not planning to eat it then it is welcome to go about its life. Attempt entry and you are a target. Mess with my dogs and you are likely a meal or perhaps just learn a really bad lesson.
