I was playing poker and one of the guys was going duck hunting in the morning. I mentioned my farm, so now we are planning a goose hunt. I need to get the hunting in IL license stuff straight. I don't hunt and don't have an IN license.

I prefer Lowe’s over Menards in Portage. I like Home Depot out of the three but Lowe’s in Portage is just easier to get to from where I leave.

Same. Hence the problem. Merrillville always had lines at the checkout. Portage I can't recall ever waiting in line at any checkout. Plus you could always find an employee to ask a question.

Im the exact opposite. I always preferred menards over lowes and home depot. Better pricing on just about everything and have never had a problem finding someone if i needed help. 11% rebate made things even cheaper.
Only time i ever go to Lowes is around Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day when they would have a great deal on the double bags of kingsford charcoal.

Home Depot and Lowes both give 10% to Vets and will match 11% at their customer service counter during Menards sales.

Menards lumber is better, but Schilling lumber beats them all is better costs about the same and will deliver free on orders over $1000.

It must have been about 1 year ago that I was in the Portage Lowes. I was trying to get some assistance and it was like no one was working. I finally got some assistance and I asked where everyone was at. The guy told me most of the full times quit because Lowes was cutting their hours. So it sounds like the problem has been going on for some time. Too bad, I like Lowes.

Morning all. Finished leaves again Saturday with some help, storm and Sunday looks like I didn't do a thing. Oh well.

That big oak tree in your front side yard is still full.

I got a bit of leaves up yesterday.
Today the back yard was covered with even more than there was yesterday.

I ran out of energy before I could get to the leaves in the front gutter.
    Maybe tomorrow for them.

    That leaf vacuum is AWESOME.
Though the hose attachment is a little rough on my back lugging around.

Gee, I wonder why Lowes would be have been cutting hours for full timers? Maybe the ACA biting them in the butt. Vote people. It's important. I know this should probably be in the political section, but it showed up here, and so...
