I'm watching Band of Brothers, episode 1

Almost always a good time to watch that series. I've heard Pacific is also really good. I also throughly enjoy Generation Kill.
Fury is pretty good fiction wise, the parts about crews interactions, things like that. I know they were striven to try and make it as accurate as possible with a fictional storyline

pacific is not as good as bob. i have both and you end up rooting more for the bob characters then the pacific. in part because you see them from start to finish. with pacific its a mix of 3 different groups of chsracters that you follow.

the pacific is much darker however as you see the toll war takes on a person and how it changes them and makes them harder and in one case souless. sldegehammer aka euguene you really see this occur but its a different type of feeling i get seeing that occur to him then csring if say cpt winter survied.

I was able to track down the family of the WW2 items. He went off to war leaving his pregnant wife stateside. The daughter didn't meet him until she was two and he returned.

Hard to read that with watery eyes. Very beautiful penmanship too. Glad to hear that there was a happy ending as well. I'm sure she'll cherish this letter.
