But it could also suffocate anyone/any living thing inside while it suffocates the flames. And its not cheap. Its used in high dollar computer/electronics rooms that are isolated.

They actually don't use Halon anymore.

FM-200 or Novec now I believe. Halon systems are no longer recharged if I recall correctly.
I priced out a system for an IT room last year - 8' x 8'... was like $14k... ouch...

We went to a two stage water system in the 90s. Harddrives survive water just fine. The inert gases and powders all tend to destroy them.

Ballstater not a bad price at all if the quality is the same as the 5946 I got. I may have to wait after Lent to buy. I gave up gun buying, and reloading supplies for Lent.

No more snow please. Monday morning's commute was god awful. Almost got rear ended by a car and side swiped by a semi
