I've learned to deal with it.
Really, most of the time my left eye will pick up what my right eye is missing.
Except situations on the extreme right, where I can't turn my head more.
Laying on my belly on the couch, turning head to the right to watch TV. My left eye is too low to see all the TV.
Turning to the right to look out my back window while driving.

We've got four. Last year we got some sedatives from the vet to give to the two that are the most afraid. We still have some left.

Holy crap bs, those rifles are beautiful!

They cleaned up pretty nice. 99% cosmoline free! I wanted to just clean them up to shoot and let their scars tell the story. The SKS must have been issued to a guy who shoots backwards. You can tell he was a lefty by the discoloration on the stock where his cheek rested.

I did basically the same with my Mosin. But I bought an extra stock to clean up which i took all the lacquer off and then put a semi gloss clear coat over it. I kept the original stock how it looked with no messing with that.
