Weber Genesis won out. Got the EP-310 which is the enamel/colored outside with all stainless internals. Wife is at the store getting some food to grill up tonight. Got a cover on order from Amazon that will be here Sunday. We are good to go. Now I just need to get that quote from the concrete guy for a new patio. Something a little larger than the 10x10 pad the builders put in.

Can someone explain to me why police department have rules that prevent them from engaging in high-speed chases yet they still buy "Police Interceptor" vehicles with engines pumped up on steroids getting miserable fuel economy? Why don't the Po-Po use economy cars? Seriously. All over Europe the police drive little hatchbacks with 4 banger econo engines. Sure they have SOME tactical vehicles, but the run of the mill traffic cop doesn't need 350hp getting 10mpg. Seems to me, as a taxpayer, we are paying for testosterone rather than practicality.
That's mostly those namby-pamby "safe space" having liberal police departments. Most Michigan PD's will chase your ass down, cause you to crash, curb stomp you, and then make you pay for the damages.
In europe many countries are the size of a #10 envelope, a real car can't even get out of second gear before coming to a border.
Oh, and we got 22 mpg at 85mph, not 10.

Some of them are getting smaller engines.

Coming from a country that HAS small diesel powered police cars....

Those cars are usually "beat" cars, they're used for patrolling. The specialist units (Traffic, Firearm, Pursuit) have things like Volvo V70 T6's, BMWs, Subaru Impreza STIs, Evos, Audis etc. They usually are used on the motorways or for, like you said, special ops. They also use a lot of full size Transit vans to patrol in, as well as Mercedes Sprinters for riot control.

The cops over there don't really need anything bigger than a family sedan for patrolling - a lot of their job is getting TO an incident scene, not a high speed chase through suburbs.

I CAN see the need for police interceptor style cars here in the US, but it strikes me as odd that you'll have rear wheel drive gas guzzlers and not something "safer" and better on fuel. Especially since 99% of cops sit there idling their engines.

I'd like to shoot today, especially with my new purchase, but the wife has planned am Easter egg hunt for all the small cousins in the family. Guess I'll get a bike ride in, and have a couple drinks to deal with the hooligans.

We did the fairgrounds one year. Think my son was 1.5. I kind of directed him to the eggs but let him pick them up. Other parents were going crazy picking the eggs up for their kids as fast as they could. Some from right under my son. We didn't dare try the helicopter drop, but watched as the mass hysteria ensued.

We now do it at my in-laws who live along the bike trail in Munster. They have a huge yard due to the power easement so there's plenty of room for the kids to run.

$749 Weber seems to have minimum pricing set in place with its retailers. I couldn't find it anywhere below that online or local. Was $802 OTD from Ace on Broadway, they seem to have the best selection around as well.

Ya know! All I wanted was my damn oil changed! Didnt want to spend my day at the service center cause they ****ed something up! Apparently the self adjusting cam and or Timing sensors are oil driven and its now causing my truck to clunk, rattle and stall out. They say its a common issue in the F150's at around 100k miles..... BS! They better fix it free of charge and fast. This **** didnt happen b4

To any mechanics, so what the service center is saying is that the Bank 2 Cam Phaser is reading 20-30 degrees different than the Bank 1 Phaser. Could this be caused do to an Oil Change or a coincidence?
