I do walnut with a little car wax added before I dump the brass. I rigged the primer pocket cleaning tool on my rotary tool and it cleans them in seconds compared by hand. I had a feeling this was going to happen I would find a way to motorize some of the process when it comes to my 223 brass.

I started out with 223 brass I had tumbled from years past, lubed sized and deprimed, re tumbled and went to town on the primer pocket and crimp if any. I have the rest of the batch ready to re tumble. I don't really want to re tumble twice as I don't want wipe excess lube by hand since I'm doing my 223 on a single stage.

My goal is to reload all the brass I have ready now throughout the year, and then find another 120mm can to throw the reloads I've shot in so i don't waste time on the crimps again. I would like to get somewhere near 5k loaded any ready since I know I don't have a need to shoot either of my AR's on a monthly basis just from the time I had shooting in the service. Once I get 5k loaded and stashed then I will probably break them out more as I will need to brush up on my marksmanship skills with what little qual books I have from the Corps.

This INGO lower if my info is correct will probably get turned into a 9mm or build one with a stamp and find a good silencer. I was just wondering if I could save a tumble by lubing my dirty 223 brass and doing the resizing and depriming but it seems I should continue how I started.

I do the unthinkable. I lube, size/deprime, trim, swage if required, then tumble with steel pins in water with dish soap and lemishine. I know everybody says not to resize dirty brass. Don't get me wrong, when I say my brass is dirty, it's not full of mud and sand it's just carboned up. BTW wet tumbling with pins makes primer pockets like new. Would you like to see a photo of my 223 brass after tumbling?

I already seen your porn. I might have to upgrade already from hand trimming once I see how the 6 rounds I made do at 25 and how quickly I can move on the single if I don't need to bump up the powder.
I have debated going the stainless route even looking up the videos to make your own. I have 2 tumblers I use now as I try to get the most brass I can from the range. I work nights and do most of my case cleaning in the garage in the winter when I don't shoot.

Ok, I have gotten several people asking me how LadyGhost and I are doing. So I guess I will give you an update on here. Keep In mind that I am not one to whine and complain, so I will try to keep it to a minimum. As you all know LadyGhost has had nothing but problems with her left leg/knee for well forever. She had a knee replace, net done in 2012 that developed an infection, well let's just say that this has been the same ok' song and dance now for the last 3+ years. There may or may not be an infection in her leg, but they aren't sure. The bloodwork isn't SHOWING anything obvious, but she is constantly in pain and not able to get out of bed most days except to make it to and from the bathroom. She is on narcotic pain killers, and has been for the last 4 years or so. And they aren't helping much anymore. We just saw the surgeon today and at this point he is thinking they will be admitting her to the hospital to see if they can finally nail down IFand if so WHERE the infection is.

As for me. I have had problems with my right foot and knee since 2011 when I hurt it at work (but the company said it wasn't) I've been dealing with chronic pain and issues in my foot every since. Well finally this last August it got to the point where I couldn't deal with the pain any longer and at that point I finally broke down and decided to have the surgery to remove a bone spur that was rubbing on my Achilles' tendon as well as to have the cartilage in my knee scoped and cleaned up at the same time since I was going to be under already. Well when the Doc went into remove the bone spur he found that I had partially ruptured the tendon as well. Well he also found that the condition of my knee dictated that I was going to need knee replacement on the right side in my future, but not right now. Well the surgeries went well and I was healing good. He sent me for physical therapy on my foot. WELL, in the second to the last session they had me doing a 'new' exercise and I felt a sharp stabbing pain in my right foot. In the same place I had had the surgery. Well I was seeing the Dr the next days so I told him. It appeared to him that I had reinjured my Achilles' tendon.(yeah I know. I was thinking the same thing) so he put me back in the walking boot to help my foot heal, well the boot agrivated my knee. I saw him this morning as well, and he injected my knee with a gel to see if it helps. If not then I'm looking at knee replacement FAR sooner than I had planned. So now I am in the same place pain wise and such as I was before I ever had the surgery, minus the bone spur.

Couple this with the fact that the steel company I work for STILL hasn't settled contract negotiations, AND that the dept I work in is slated to be shut down on March 31st. Well I guess you can say I have a very full plate. Sorry to vent and drop such a long post on y'all like this, but remember, SOME of you asked for it. LOL

I have to say, you surely seem to be in line for some good fortune for a change. Hang in there, getting this knee fixed may be the beginning of better days. I wish you well.

    ...

Greg, you know that normally I would read something like this and make fun of you to your face, but honestly I'm just going to say good luck with all of this. I know Michelle has been going through a lot of grief with her knee and you have been burdened by your rather unfortunate face. So for all of that, I will just say good luck and i hope it all works out.

Actually there is no reason to have the emission testing here either... Just more hoops to go through for the privilege to drive...
