    Went to my (gasp) 35th high school reunion yesterday. We looked pretty good for a bunch of geezers. It was at the Carnegie Center in Crown Point. Very nice little venue. A bit stuffy and frilly, but I love that type of decor.

    I suppose all pointy bullets cause concern in a lever action? My TC Contender is a .35 Rem. It's a nice deer caliber imo.

    Yes. As I was typing, I kept thinking "hope nobody takes this as an insult; better make sure I make it clear I'm talking about a tube fed mag".

    I know it drops like a brick, but I got used to that in 1972 (it was my first center-fire rifle).
    IMHO, it's one of the most underrated and misunderstood cartridges in a century.
