Well, 14 hrs and counting stuck at St. Anthonys....at least they gave me the nicotine patch. f-in bowel obstruction

Funny you should ask...
My version is all visual. No headache (praise the lord or equivalent). Things are a bit brighter and there is a jagged line that is in my vision. Its there with my eyes closed or open. Usually lasts about 30 minutes. There may be some loss of vision in spots. Anyone else have this?

Yep. Sometimes with pain, sometimes without.

You're in the ER? It happens. There are no beds upstairs so ER patients are stuck there until someone is discharged. Hopefully you won't still be there when I get there at 3:00. (Nothing personal, of course... just hope you get settled soon.)

I've heard of optical problems in a migraine, but thought there was still pain. Guess I'm wrong.
My migraines involve sharp shooting pain behind an eyeball, similar to an ice pick being driven in.
And severe nausea with vomiting.

I always get the optical stuff and the nausea. Sometimes pain, sometimes not, maybe depending on how quick I take my Relpax.
