Remove the word trigger, and you've covered bump stocks. The "single function," (given the finger does not actively engage the trigger, as far as pulling) being the pulling forward of the receiver.

The BATFEXYZ123 does not have Constitutional authority to remove any word from any law.

Without being versed enough to quote from memory but didn't the BATF do exactly this (change their conclusion) in regard to braces a few years back before changing their mind again?
Yeah, but I think that’s a more subjective thing than defining automatic fire.

I am sure you meant to say, "IS ALREADY next on the list of the liberal anti-gun left".

Maintaining Republican majorities will be critical in the mid-term elections.

For those of us that remember; 1994 was just yesterday and could easily be repeated tomorrow.

You are correct. With these bump fire devices in the spot light when the anti gun politicians claim that "Semi-auto assault weapons" still can be spray fired, that statement isn't mechanically accurate, but is technically correct!

Two faced the same as "our man" Donnelly. Like him, at least we know who the enemy is.

...the House bill was introduced by a Republican, Florida Rep. Carlos Curbelo. And this bill has the support of nine other GOP representatives. Here’s a list for your information and edification:

    Peter King (N.Y.)
    Leonard Lance (N.J.)
    Patrick Meehan (Pa.)
    Ed Royce (Calif.)
    Chris Smith (N.J.)
    Erik Paulsen (Minn.)
    Ryan Costello (Pa.)
    Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (Fla.)
    Charlie Dent (Pa.)...

So does the wording of this bill make it an NFA item?? I read it a couple times and it says its considered illegal to posses or transfer?

I did a quick read, but with an eye for these kinds of things. It looks like an outright ban. Not NFA-listing them. A ban.

MAC had a good video. The devil is in the lack of details allowing the atf to decide what devices allow increased rate of fire.

I am sure the anti-gun left has compiled 100's of such videos for the next round of Senate hearings.

They will be a stream of the ubiquitous click-bait YouTube "morons wtih guns" compendia to conclusively demonstrate why anyone in favor of the 2nd Amendment and everyone owning any firearms of any kind cannot be trusted to even gaze upon a firearm at a distance in a museum. They're dangerous idiots that would kill just as many innocents accidentally, if not more, than they would deliberately. I cringe every time I see them as I know they will be used by those who want to completely disarm all citizens and residents.

And supporters! Too many here are willing to allow this to happen since it doesn't affect them or their possessions!(Until it does, then it's too late.)

You have succinctly addressed the critical truth that our side is having the shadow of Niemöller hanging over us.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

We could just as easily say:

First, they came for the machine guns, and I didn't speak out--
Because I did not own a machine gun.

Then they came for the 'assault' rifles with ugly stocks, and I didn't speak out--
Because I didn't own an 'assault' rifle with an ugly stock.

Then they came for 'high capacity' magazines, and I didn't speak out--
Because I didn't own any 'high capacity' magazines.

Then they came for even more kinds of ugly stocks, and I didn't speak out--
Because I didn't own any even uglier stocks.

Then they came for my Fudd guns, and there was no one left to speak out.

Bad bill....has the potential to pass. Time for everyone to express support for the 2A to the elected representatives.

Skip to 6:00 in the video. Often quoted but it's worth continued exposure.

This thread is getting depressing. Where is the guy that posts the Salma pics?
