Make sure to wear shorts and flip flops during chainsawing.
I was actually wearing cargo shorts and Carl Dyer moccasins with wool socks. The socks got so many stickers on them I think
they will just get pitched. When I pulled in this was blocking one side of the driveway. Luckily I took a right turn to the other side. The driveway makes a big oval.thumbnail.jpg

There were 8 leaners and 4 of them were a decent size. Went too deep on an undercut and got the saw in a bind. That's the neighbor's house (below) across the street whom I got to bush hog for me.

I've done a lot with the little 18" Echo.

This is the same area as the first picture but after clearing with the cabin in the background.

And a place to rest my weary head.

    Drizzle in Hammond.

My youngest son starts welding school at the Calumet Welding Center today. This is the first time in his life he wasn't forced to go to school and his attitude shows the expected improvement.
My high school guidance counselor, Mrs. Rabinowitz, tried to make me understand I was wasting a good mind.

This went on for a long time. One appointment after another.

Finally, I think at her wits end, she told me I would do better with a job.

8 years in the Army and 40+ years as a carpenter, she saved my life.

My Savage MK II that was ordered after the meet and shoot is ready for pick up. :rockwoot:Now I'm thinking of a new threaded barrel for
Ruger MK II pistol. They are readily available.
Keep an eye on the Volquartsen clearance page. They often have take off uppers.

Oops, I saw Mark II and I was thinking pistol.
