what are the current form 3 timelines? I purchased a can throuh a dealer who said it was in stock [at either a distributor or the manufacturer]. They thought it would be 2-3 weeks for the can to get to the dealer so I could start my paperwork, but it has been 8 weeks and still not there. Is that typical? Has NFA also been hit that hard by all the recent "panic," causing backlogs at the NFA branch?

I don't think the NFA branch has been overly affected by the current situation.

<douche mode>Most of the panic buying is by idiots who only decided to pay attention in the 11th hour. I doubt many of them could figure out how to fill out a Form 4.</douche mode>

My form 4 transfer to a dealer only took 45 days or so back in July so it should be here soon. Have you called in about it?

I called the dealer (I don't have a SN or anything to call the NFA office). It sounded like a younger guy I talked to who wasn't totally plugged into the process. They didn't offer to check with the NFA office.

I thought transfers from manufacturer/distributor to dealers went a lot quicker (like 10-15 days) but wasn't sure... If 45-ish days is right, then my current 60 may mean it'll show up soon so I can start my paperwork.

I've not had to order an item before. Only bought in-stock merchandise or form 1s.

    Thx

I can feel it getting close. According to NFA tracker, some stamps that were approved yesterday went pending October 16. Mine went October 23.:ar15:
