We weighed out the pros and cons of each for a long while. Oklahoma would have certainly been better aligned with our political views. Have grandkids both places....
Well maybe NM is the better choice as grandma and grandpa can help the grandkids (and kids) see an alternative point of view, rather than what their neighbors and other liberal influencers may try to push on the young minds.

Note: The Morehouse v. Garland Lawsuit in the District of North Dakota is still caroming around between the ND District Court and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. Latest status filing in it was Sept 1st, recommending the stay of proceedings continue until the Interlocutory Appeal to the 8th Circuit is finished.

You might recognize the "Morehouse" name as it's the gun dealer that ATF is attempting to revoke their two FFLs in retribution and retaliation for having filed the Federal Lawsuit over the Frame and Receiver Rule. This immediately spawned a second Morehouse v. Garland Federal Lawsuit in the District of North Dakota. GOA/GOF is aiding them in the FFL revocation lawsuit.

She doesn't look stupid enough, or smart enough, to have come up with this on her own. I'll be curious to see where she goes to work for when her term is up.

    Always follow the money
Looks like she can sit out a term and come back to NM gov position then with a vengeance. Hopefully not.

In other unrelated news, former NM Governor Bill Richardson is being laid to rest in Santa Fe today. Bill Clinton, at least, is at his service and I suspect H as well as I felt the presence of extra evil forces in the air today. (More than usual)

Trying. Ironically, that is one of the points against Grandma home schooling, and for private school. Daughter and SIL are full on board with the woke agenda and often all I can do to keep it together around her.

Teens and tweens are bragging on Twitter (now "X"), Instagram and TikTok about how they're blocking Fox News on their grandparents' and parents' cable boxes by setting the "Parental Controls" and then setting a long random password on it. Doing likewise with routers to block the Fox News website URL. Also doing the same with TVs in waiting rooms. They think it's hilarious.

A word to the wise . . . enable parental controls, even if you don't block anything by channel or content type or rating, and password it with one young brats can't hack. May not be your grandkids, but one or more of their friends during a visit.

Kids these days are so addicted to electronics. Even being grounded from them for one day could seem like a week. Sadly, the parent that has to put up with the "end of the world situation" the kids has suddenly found themselves in. My kids knew I would take their electronics if they pulled such a stunt.

Honestly, they’re probably doing us all a favor.
