So when I was back in MD, I got a McCain lawn sign from the Agricultural fair. Long story short, I brought it back here and put it in my lawn. About 20 minutes ago, all was fine. I just looked outside and someone bent the **** out of the frame and poked holes in it. Only thing I can say is that the person is lucky I didn't see them, because they'd have been in for some **** :xmad:

In Bloomington, mine is the only one I've seen. You don't see me going around tearing the 5 Obama signs on my block down do you? Pisses me off :xmad:

Get another one up with a video camera monitoring. When it gets defaced, post video here and on youtube!

If that isnt an attempt to silence someone's First Amend, then nothing is. You have all the right to be pissed Scutter. I would do the monitoring, but angle the camera so that it picks up their licence plate. Cowards like that usually like a quick getaway, so they will most likely use a car. Complaint with the constabulary's sig is great as this can be placed further than a regular ol' defacing situation. It can be made into violation of your rights or even menacing (poking holes in a sign while damaging your rights). As the saying goes, Milk that B@#$% for all she's got.

But don't you know, Liberals are all about freedoms. As long as it's not freedom of thought, expression and difference.

On a side note: I hate college towns. Living in one sucked because it was filled with kids that have nothing better to do and mommy/daddy's money to blow. They feel like they have something to say about politics when they haven't even experienced the world yet (snot nosed assjerks). I was a college liberal and still am to a degree. But this defacement business is absolutely stupid and has no right being performed in the name of politics. Whats next? Someone keying someone's car for an Obama sticker? Someone spray painting someone's house for having a McCain sign? Someone driving by someone, calling them something obcene for having a Ron Paul shirt on?

Right or left, there isnt any reason for this behavior. This isnt just about liberal or conservative. This is about someone who is willing to damage your property to "teach you a lesson" or to "show you what's right". Let this be an example to everyone, that it doesnt matter who or what you support, it gives you no right to damage someone's property ot hurt them over it. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Im going to go push over one of my cubicle walls now, be back later!!

The wife and I were out to breakfast this weekend. There was an Obama guy next to us (button on hat and tshirt proclaiming it). The prick left the waitress 11 cents for a tip. I left my usual 20%. I told the wife I should point out to the waitress the generosity of right wing free enterprise believing capitalist vs the "its all about me" socialist types.

I'm sure he believes the government should be covering the tip for him.

And they shouldn't? I mean, gosh, it's not like he had the services rendered for himself and should, god forbid, pay money to the lowly server! I mean, she already gets a salary! :n00b:

That's about the amount I leave when I get good service, but I also go one step further: I hand it to the server personally and tell them, "This is not a tip. This is a gift. Tips have to be reported as income. Gifts do not."

I found that little tidbit of info at Liberty Store: Brand-New "This is NOT a tip!" Quiz

    Blessings,

    My kinda guy!
There is nothing more fun than to screw with people with small (or no) minds!
And in Bloomington, or as I call it San Fransisco, Indiana those small minds are in abundance!:n00b:

Oh yes, it is fun :D Had 4-5 of those college kids (my age) trying to register ppl to vote for Obama come by the house the last 6 months. Every time,
    "are you registered to vote?"
"Nope" (I actually am, registered at the BMV)
"Do you know who you are going to vote for?"
    "Nope"
"Well we're going door to door to register people to vote for Barack Obama"
"Really? So what policies of Obama's make you want to vote for him?"
"Well...like he's for change and stuff"
and then I take it from there and go on to question everything they say about Obama. Good times :D
