And the snowflakes are still sucking up the double down :koolaid: being dosed out by the CYA MSM.....what a total farce we have become as a nation.

I think there are two things at play. One, at a higher level, it's about money. Trump, or at least bashing him is a cash cow. Outrage generates the most clicks and views, so the more outrageous the better. I think they'll want to keep that going as long as they can.

On the second level it's the journalists. They're all pretty much progressive left, and support Democrats personally. And it shows. Those elitist **********s can't imagine that Trump beat Hillary. They're just not going to give up on that.

They will not give up the revenues this has generated. Not until the bitter end. But with the short term memory of the electorate not much will be done to hold anybody accountable for the fake news media.

And yes, the entire MSM machine is in the hands of the left. Pretty brilliant move strategically in the quest to rule the world. Pinky and the Brain would have possibly succeeded had they used this.

When reporting on public figures, the media can be as negligent as can be and even completely reckless without incurring liability for defamation. It is only liable if it actually knew what it was reporting was false.

I’m sure that these media outlets dearly wanted what they were reporting to be true. They were, however, both negligent and reckless....which doesn’t get you a defamation suit in this case.

What about financing a dossier, made up out of whole cloth, and submitting it to the FISA court as truth. It is known to have been financed by the DNC/Clinton campaign, with the sole purpose of interfering with Trump's election? Nothing illegal about that? I still don't understand that one, and it didn't require 2 years and millions of dollars to uncover. IMHO, that's where the real crime was, and it was right out in the open, yet totally ignored by the so-called "justice" system.

Are you surprised. I am not.

Just go back to the Kavanaugh debacle. That was the most obvious 3 ring Monkey circus I think I have ever seen. Blatant Bravo Sierra being spoon fed to the mush brained CNN/MSNBC junky's. And they almost pulled it off. No accountability for those douche water drinkers. None.

When I was listening to the radio yesterday, a talking head thought it very likely that Chief Justice Roberts will have the people involved in the FISA warrants in for a chat and could possibly face contempt of court charges.

They should face some kind of charges, as well as anyone involved in that whole mess. Any attorneys involved should be disbarred, and any others involved should be charged with anything applicable and at the very least financially ruined in civil court.

She doesn't speak for the mainstream media. It's mostly doubling down.

Democrats are giving up the hunt, though. Donna Brazille, Jeff Zucker (CNN), Tulsi Gabbard, others... They've all come out and admitted there was no collusion now. The party can't be split on this. There will be some hardliners that had it pounded into them for 2 years and won't give it up... but the "mainstream media" will have to drop it to avoid looking worse than they do.

My guess is they try to do it quietly, or wait for the full report so they can pick through the bones and find something to latch onto... but this was a pretty big ****-up on their part. Trump is probably going to dominate 2020 because of this.

They've let go of collusion maybe, but now they're going after the "but he wasn't exonerated of obstruction of justice" bone and they're gonna gnaw on that one as long as they can. "Trump must be guilty of something!" is their raison d'etre.

They really have been pushing the boundary's of the rights we all share. Not exactly sure how to slow this all down but yes, it is way out of hand.

Actually this goes all the way back to the early 1800s and the period just a few decades after the establishment of the Constitution. It was essentially part of an early populist rise of the "common man" and Jeffersonian republicanism pushing back against the Federalists who were seen as the "elite."

It's really the turning point in US history when politics went from being exclusive to educated and learned "gentlemen" (which most of the founders were) and gave rise to "public opinion."

Appropriately enough, I was just reading about this last week.

    .
Politics is now entertainment and a good revenue generator for a lot of groups. Not likely anything is going to change, media leadership is fanatically committed to it's "religion" and there are bucks to be made from the system the way it is.

    Always follow the money

Frankly, I am surprised the Socialist-Media complex hasn't adopted this position:

Trump hasn't been proven innocent of anything!
There just wasn't enough evidence to indict.

    #1 Some are.

#2 After seeing the polling showing people are sick and tired of this, they made the principled decision to accept the results.

More like Bull****zer Prize. Pushing a narrative based on emotion and ideology is not journalism, it's propaganda dissemination.
Liberals sure like to hand out bull**** prizes to each other. Just like the bull**** peace prize they stowed upon Obama.

They are just cheap meaningless tokens not worth much more to anyone but themselves than the ones you used to get in a crackerjack box.

Was awake late last night and the TV was still stuck on CBS so I watched the Stephen Colbert monologue. WoW! So instead of moving on post Mueller, this guy doubles down on his Trump Derangement Syndrome. If there was no collusion found then it must be something even worse. And the studio crowd ate it up, they cheered like people at a Trump rally when the President takes the stage.

Not sure what Colbert will do for employment six years from now as he has nothing in his bucket of tricks besides his TDS. I usually watch Johnny Carson reruns and he makes the current round of late night [STRIKE]comics[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]hosts[/STRIKE] shills look like grade school kids putting on an amateur show. Let's face it, Johnny had Reagan and Carter who were both comedy gold. He does a joke or two about politics but it does not dominate his monologue.
