It is.IANAL, but unless this is managed by Army Corp of Engineers, this sign is improper.
You are correct. From the Louisville district site:Corps of engineer property, I believe.
I actually thought the restriction was removed by executive action around 2020?
What executive action was this?I actually thought the restriction was removed by executive action around 2020?
Nope. It was considered in 2020 to change the rules, but did not happen. There have also been several legislative bills over the years to fix this, but none have ever passed.Same, I thought that nonsense was gone.
It is not a good idea to advocate knowingly breaking the law. Up to 6 months in jail if caught. So? Carry concealed and nobody would be the wiser. If you need it for some homeless meth addict camping in the weeds, you can worry about the fallout later. Better to have and not need then need and not have...
It was supposed to be, even earlier than that, but it fell through. I was camping down there (after I thought it had been changed) and a DNR officer saw me and informed me then that it had not gone through. He was cool about it though. Just had me take it off and put it in my tent.I actually thought the restriction was removed by executive action around 2020?

True Dat. Indeed, you take your chances either way.Very very likely. Until you have a serious accident and need an ambulance or the like.
Everyone can make their own choices, but never assume you'll get away with anything. Roll the dice, take your chances either way.
