Shannie is steadily losing her mind! The made up stats keep getting better and better. All we need to make it a better Monday is for Dan Aykroyd to say: Shannon, you ignorant slut.

From americasfirstfreedom.org today. “We’ve done polls that show 70 percent of NRA members want background checks.”—Shannon Watts of Moms Demand Action, obviously using made-up “data” since NRA membership rolls are not available to any polling organization.

She asked 10 friends. 7 said more. She doesn't know who's NRA, so she just fudged a bit.

They never polled the NRA. That info isn't available to anyone. I am a NRA member and I wasn't polled on anything. That is made up BS!!

To be fair she didn't say which NRA. I'm sure the No Rifles Association want more background checks :D

When they wail about "gun violence," it makes me wonder if they think other kinds of violence and killing are just hunky dory.

Kill someone with a gun = bad

Murder someone by kicking and stomping them after they go down or by caving-in their skull with a brick = okay

That's interesting. In a court of law Bloomberg's minions did not recite their usual script and outlandish claims; maybe it was because they would have to prove them once and for all.
Instead they tried to argue that "Their lawsuit challenged the actual ballot title by calling it “insufficient.” During oral arguments in February of this year, Bloomberg’s attorneys attempted to persuade the court that voters were misled."
That sound you hear is the barrel being scraped

It does get kind of sticky in a court of law when you're making things up. It seems those inconvenient little things called, "oaths", "facts", etc keep getting in the way!

Exactly. False testimony under oath could make things all sorts of interesting, so I can see why they don't want to use their talking points in a courtroom setting.

They accuse them of doing precisely what the bloomies did with the ballot initiatives in Washington, Oregon...they lie their asses off about what the ballot contains in order to win.

Retailers have the right -- and responsibility -- to delay a gun sale until a background check is completed. But Cabela's, one of the largest gun retailers in the country, will sell to anyone after three business days have passed, even if their background check is incomplete.

Another disingenuous and misleading statement from the lying gun grabbers.

Notice how they are very deliberate to say that Roof "didn't pass a background check." He didn't fail it, he was placed on a 3 day wait. By law since he wasn't denied, so Cabela's sold him the gun.

Does a retailer have the right to refuse a sale after a 3 day hold without some other suspicion that the buyer is not proper?

I think this is the same as not baking a cake.
