Well.....Sorry Mike, but anecdotal evidence and bold/capital letters don't trump physics and real world data. Gabby surviving was pretty miraculous and she most certainly was incapacitated. I noticed you didn't reply to the link I provided, which actually had some data attached to it. Here it is again for you: Stopping Power
There is nothing magical about the .45ACP.
Well.....
We'll just have to disagree.
I grew up reading Jeff Cooper, Elmer Keith, Skeeter Skelton, Bill Jordan, and other guys who actually used their handguns in self defense.
Not some computer geek who made a program showing the "probable" results of wound ballistics.
The accounts by the "old timers" are loaded with first hand information.
You might try reading some of them. I think you'll like their writings and come away with a fresh perspective on the strong, and weak points of handgun calibers.
good thing 9mm is not the most widely used handgun caliber worldwide
Mandarin Chinese is the most widely spoken language on the planet.good thing 9mm is not the most widely used handgun caliber worldwide
How would a plastic gun like a glock, hold up in a harsh environment like Iraq? Also, what is the meaning of bacon? One would think that the .40 would be the best.
Glocks were issed to the iraqi forces by the us because "they can" withstand the environment....if the beretta is truly going to the wayside,I believe glock has a good chance
Actually the Iraqis got Glocks cause they were the Cheapest unit Price in the quantity that was asked for in a Rapid filling...
Had absolutely nothing to do with performance...
Not so sure about that. It's a completely different experience when the target has the potential to shoot back.I would take an "A class" USPSA Single Stack shooter over a SEAL with a .22 in a duel any day.
