My son and went into Meijer while waiting for a couple of pizzas and scored some 9mm..... pretty cheap.

They had S&B 9mm 50 rnd boxes for $9.99, not bad but while waiting for a cashier to come to sporting goods I found a 20% off coupon. The clerk didnt know if it would work on ammo but said she would try it..... ding, ding ding !!!

I bought 10 boxes, thats 500 rnds for $85.xx, saved over $70.00 from regular price and that would have been $125+ for WWB at Walmart. The coupon and sale ended today 2/20/11..... I should have bought the other 4 boxes..... :dunno:

I usually dont shop Meijer but now I will watch for these 20% store flyer coupons.

That's pretty fabulous, OP! The Meijer up here in Fishers doesn't seem to carry ammo, or at least I've missed it when I've found myself in there.

Had not even thought to check Meijer for ammo, as I have not been in there for a really long time. I'll have to watch for their % off coupons again and check out whether Meijer in Avon has decent ammo prices.

    nice!

I check the Greenwood store's shelf every time I'm in there... Rarely ever find anything that I need on sale. Regular prices are too high.

Awesome score. Wish you would have figured out the 20% off deal earlier, I would've jumped on it.

Meijer is awfully weird about their ammo, at least the 38th street one. Normally, every type of ammo except 12gauge is kept in the glass cabinet. I have, however, on 2 separate occasions walked down the ammo isle and notice 9mm sitting on the shelf. I just grabbed a couple boxes and went through the self-checkout line. If it were like this normally I would most likely buy my 9mm there all the time just so I don't have to deal with waiting on a person with a key or cashiers.

I too think the Meijer ammo situation is weird. As stated above you find odd combinations of ammo locked and on the shelf. For the most part the prices are higher than Wal-mart or even Dick's for a few types of cartridges (7mm rem mag comes to mind).
I don't pay much attention anymore, but maybe I should when these deals come around.

And I thought I had it good? My wife works at the Fishers 96th st Meijer, so 10% off for me each and every ammo sale. Anyhoo I work out at the Airport, buddy of mine said he shopped at the Rockville Rd/Raceway Rd (Avon) Meijer where he was buying .40 S&W WWB 50 count for $11.99, 96th st Meijer/Noblestucky SR 37 Meijer was $15.99 same a box.............I hoofed it to Avon and bought eight boxes for $92.37 incl tax with ol lady works for you 10% off. I keep the receipt and as long as Avon keeps theirs at $11.99, I can show it to the store manager at Fishnoble and get the price match. I got WWB 115 gr for $9.99 a box advertized but the stickers was on the other side of the cabinate confusing everybody. Wished I would have know everything in the store sale 20% off sunday, would have been a 30% day for me, Have to get on the ol lady that works there's butt, as she ddint say a word. I'm a Wal-Mart shopper anyway, guess where I was Sunday while the sale was on across the street that day?!?

I found their 100 packs of Winchester to be a pretty good price. It was 26 or so for 100 rounds. That is not too bad for retail.
They had some PMC .223 for 7.99. Yeah, that is not great, but I am having a hard time finding .223 for much cheaper. Wally world is espensive, Gander is hilarious.
I did get some .223 at Gander this week 100 for $30 after rebate. Gander is not bad when on sale, but other than that, I do not understand what planet they are from.

I do find it slightly hilarious that the Avon Meijer has all the 7.62x39 and all the shotgun ammo right on the shelf, but the .22lr is locked up along with the handgun ammo.

I bought some 45 Auto WWB... It said regular price $29.99 with a price drop to 19.99 plus the 20% brought it down to 15.99 which I thought was a pretty good deal... The only problem was that it rang up the original 29.99 and the cashier had to get an override to fix it... Can't see who would have paid 29.99 a box for it, but at $15.99 I was happy...

Congrats on a good score! Our meijer is usually overpriced on ammo, but sometimes you can get lucky like that. I will have to keep an eye out more often
