After they handcuffed me they tried to get my name while they patted me down and removed my knives and pen.
I stayed pretty silent but one of the cops knew me somehow even though I have never dealt with him before.

Long story short, they stopped and handcuffed a man on a bike, when the report was "man with an AK rifle".

Lonnie stopped by and we chatted about it for a while and I went on my way.

So, was the zoo thing a similar experiment?

not to derail this awesome thread but, I have a very serious question. I was told by a LEO, that is also a very good friend, that anyone over the age of 16 in IN, must carry and provide id to any LEO that asks for it. Can someone point me in the direction of the IC that would make him right?

This is not the Weimar Republic; we need not show papers every time the Polizei requests our pedigree info.

How about this? Show me in the IC where it says I have to prove who I am if I have done nothing wrong. Tell said LEO to get bent and give him my ScreenName and I will tell him too.

Nope..can't help you here.. mainly because I don't believe there is any such IC like that to provide.

That's what I told him, but he is positive that he can arrest me for standing in public with no ID
