I saw the trailer a couple weeks ago and thought it looked decent, probably wait for the DVD though. I definitely enjoyed the book. I was glad to hear Luttrell was involved.

The HBO series Boardwalk Empire, produced by Wahlberg, is a great show, but I would NEVER support it financially. It would be foolish to support interests so vehemently against our Second Amendment rights.

Do we not remember the political climate against the Second Amendment just a year ago?

I'm waiting for an excellent quality copy to hit the e-shelves to see it. Looks good and Marky Mark does a decent job in most movies. His personal beliefs don't bother me just as I wasn't really bothered by Andy Griffith while watching reruns of the Andy Griffith Show, other than the fact that I would have liked to see more Elinor Donahue.

I wonder if Lutrell knew about wahlbergs anti-2nd feelings,I watched 'Will of Warrior' on demand(xfinity) he seems like the type of guy who would call him out on it at least, and I agree wahlberg is short for a Seal(not that I know, I know any personally),Lutrell is not he looked huge in interview with Matt Lauer unless the studio had elementary school chair for Lutrell to sit in..Movie will be a good watch, prolly backed by the USN for recruiting purposes(most military movies of late have been Navy or Seal (Act of Valor(AWESOME),Pacifiic Rim(Crap)....lol

    Hello All

I thought it portrayed modern combat realism as Saving Private Ryan did for WW2.
We thought the movie was intense at times. Saw tears from some folks when soldiers died.
After getting home and reading about the real Red Wings mission I was kinda upset with some of the Hollywood added to the movie.

I want to see this SOOOO bad. The girlfriend and I have a gift card for AMC, I think this may be what we use it for.

On a side note, semi-related. I went to Half-Price Books today looking for American Sniper by Chris Kyle. I asked the lady at the counter and she looked it up for me. She said that with this movie coming out, it was hard to keep in stock sometimes. She said she watched an interview with Chris Kyle and Mark Wahlberg the other day about this movie. :(

    Agree.

Wife and I saw it today at Huntington. I had to tell my wife what was right and wrong with the movie.....the big shoot out at the village is not what I had heard. I thought his village friend just had him hid until we got there to get him out, no big shootout. Still a good movie.

At the last UFC Lutrell was there and said he thought Marky Mark did a real good job. I watched the 60 minutes interview, I wish they had stuck with more of the story how he told it, but hey, thats hollywood. God Bless our troops.
