Fair points, but (at least, under original management - I'm not sure where TexKev stands) the INGO classified have always been a... side project of sorts? i.e. never really the main focus/purpose of the site. The 50 post rule was primarily to keep volunteer moderation effort minimized, since most of the issues requiring moderation originated from those forum users who only used the classifieds section and weren't otherwise active in the main forum. I don't think the rule ever had anything to do with revenue generation/consideration. (The "site supporter" work-around was a thinly veiled effort to get "runners" to demonstrate that they wanted to have some "skin in the game" for the forum in general - not explicitly to generate revenue.)

This is what I was trying to get him to understand but he was dead set on disregarding that argument and the rules that he did'nt like that have made Ingo prosper for many years when others have failed.

He instead insisted on just wanting Ingo to expand the marketplace here at the expense of the community aspect just to fill a void that he and others incurred when other avenues such as Armslist became untenable which in turn would increase the workload of the volunteer moderation team exponentially.

If that were to happen I can almost guarantee that Ingo would implode and the overworked mod staff would quit under the sheer weight of the increased volume.

He himself said that he only returned here after a long hiatus just to take a run at accessing the classifieds which tells me he didn't give a damn about the community.

I had a male gym teacher! No neck, his shoulders sloped up to his ears. Built like a tank and all muscle. Football/wrestling coach that scared the snot out of anyone who pissed him off. Yep! And white socks (with the stripes on top) with black tennis shoes. Funny but the color of the stripes on his socks never matched! I think it was so he could tell the right foot from the left one! LOL.

I don't blame you and the mod staff one bit. Could you imagine having to moderate an expanded marketplace and having to constantly deal with those kind of gate crashers on top of moderating the existing forum? I certainly can't. It's absurd to even contemplate such a thing.

The Ingo community would suffer big time and become untenable, and we all would lose everything we've worked for as contributing members to get to where Ingo is today.

you gots gooder words. My worker bee self didn't stand a chance of convincing him with my lowly buzz.
Also keep in mind that just before he got kicked perma-style he said he would see us in 30 days after his PM suspension was over. Zero sincerity.

We had a fairly attractive female Girls PE teacher and Girls sports coach. She moved on a few years after I graduated for banging a guy a couple years younger than me when he was a senior. Small towns - its hard to keep that sort of thing quiet...

Yeah that's why I said he probably would have been an asset to the community if he chose to do so but he chose the arrogant asshat route instead and ultimately got bounced for it.
