I have a "spam-o-matic" button on the moderator software that is very much a spammer hammer. It bans them, hard deletes all of their posts, PMs if they have any, and reports their IP to the mothership. Smaller forum, doesn't advertise, doesn't get nearly as much traffic but it makes things super simple.

And, yes, it's really called spam-o-matic.

Horny seemed to change toward the end. He had always been a bit prickly but seemed like an okay guy. But then he did seem to become a troll. if he had health problems. That could be an explanation.

I sometimes miss another long time member, but his name slips my mind right now. He always told us who was a real libertarIan and who wasn’t.

I think a few people extended a hand to Kut and offered to meetup and break bread. To my knowlege I don't recall any of that materializing.

I also recall a great number of members including myself showing genuine concern for Kuts wellbeing on a number of occasions. I remember when he was in Germany at the time of one of the radical attacks over there that killed a number of people and he had'nt posted anything for a while.

I also recall there was concern about the well being of Kut and his family, especially his mother when he posted something about her being taken to the ER about the time the whole covid thing started when he was having a difficult time getting access to see her and he hadn't posted anything for a while after that either.

So it wasn't like anyone wasn't trying to find a way to connect with him on a greater personal level.

I think he's still active on FB. On some post somewhere, 3-4 months ago maybe, I saw a poster with the last name Jarrel and his Butters icon replying. The tone of the post certainly sounded like mrjarrell.
