    It is the Mach 5

    Yes it is.
As a kid, that was the "coolest" car.
I had a matchbox Mark 5. (I think it was matchbox)
I used to drive it (with hands of course) around the house, occasionally making the JUMP JUMP JUMP noise, and jumping over chasms.
Then my dad would get red in the face and yell "CARS DON'T FLY!"
I would look at him and say "I know". Course, I DIDN'T YELL. Dad's can yell at sons. Not so much the other way though.

One day, a couple years ago, I'm watching TV and see the TV show. I start watching it.
As an adult, I realized that I was "special" kid.
Cause as an adult, the show was "WTF?"
So, did I just grow up? Or did I turn into my dad?

Out of curiosity, what defines active or non-active? Sometime back I used "had a post in the last 6 months" and it seemed like we had the 5K 1775usmarine mentioned.

I just escorted one of these off the playground tonight. Attempted to tell me what the rules stated.

Fenway drove off into the sunset in the Bugatti.

Staff car is now a 1964 Falcon 4 door with a 144CI straight 6 and 3 on the tree. And the clutch slips.
I can imagine the joy that would be to drive. As a kid, I had a '64.5 Mustang that had a 170 straight six. It looked nice but was a slug.

I actually owned one just as described. My car got stacked up by the girlfriend. Dead of winter and I was forced to pull my Harley out and ride it until I could pull some funds together and find a car. A buddy's dad had this Falcon. Black 4 door white guts 144 straight 6 3 speed. Nice looking car just tired. Bought it stupid cheap and rolled it until the tired 6 hung a rod outside the oil pan coming home from work in near 0* temps at midnight. Froze my nads off walking home.
Pulled the Harley back out and rode it until I got my wrecked car fixed. Man that was a long time ago.

By the end of my time with my Mustang, it was burning through a quart of oil every day or two. One day coming home from a midnight shift, it got stuck in first gear. What was normally a 50 minute trip took four hours. I kept praying the oil pressure gauge wouldn't bottom out before I made it to the gas station. Fun times.

I think we had that car when I was a kid! The year would be about right... it was powder blue. I was only 4 or 5 years old, so I don't know what it had under the hood. :): It was one of Dad's old work cars (Marion County Health Department), and they got the opportunity to buy them when the fleet was being replaced.

I think that one was replaced by a Plymouth Belvedere with a push button transmission on the center of the steering wheel. It looked like this one:

This WAS my first car, with a three on the tree, but it never looked this good. Mine was white also, but had a broken shock on the back which made the rear end lean over and sag to the driver's side.

My x-cop car is only up to about a quart or two a month. I could get away with never changing the oil if it weren't for the oil filter.

But boy is my exhaust system well lubricated. :yesway:

I had an S10 that I just started spinning new filters on every now and then instead of changing the oil since it managed to change its own oil pretty effectively. That was an awesome truck.

Back in the day I had a 1982 Mazda B2000. I put a quart of oil in it every 800 miles for 10 years. It didn't burn oil, it leaked a quart every 800 miles.
