    I've also got one box of 9mm pistole ammo manufactured in 1942. When I take my Luger out to shoot it I'm half tempted to shoot half this box. But I've only got the one box so I don't know...

    Have never seen one of those, that's a good looking pistol!

    Apparently these are uncatalogued and a batch were made for a specific law enforcement order. They had a few left over and pushed them off to a local dealer in Connecticut. I too never knew they existed until a guy on the S&W forums posted a picture of one, and as a S&W 3rd gen connoisseur, knew immediately I had to hunt one down.
