    Watched the Morning News coverage, amazed that the powers that be are saying it's safe. Man gets killed in the middle of the day in an office bldg and it's
    safe.
    Every article lately about a murder in Indy has the same spokesperson lines yammering about crime going down.

    I'm sure that matters to you when you're bleeding out and being strangled with a USB cord.

    Streets on fire and masked men with baseball bats: Police report mass violence when they tried to break up spinning events in Indianapolis

    Time to start shooting these people. If they're attacking the police, smashing their windows with bats, I think they'd (the police) be well within their rights to light 'em up.

    "Arrests" :lmfao: and investigation

    IMPD says there were at least seven arrests and expects to announce more in the coming days. WTF good is that? They'll be back out before breakfast. :lmfao:
    Indiana State Police are also supporting IMPD with investigations and response. ISP has worked with IMPD on this problem for several years.
    Since March 2023, state police have recovered more than 100 stolen vehicles and made more than 40 arrests in relation to these street takeover incidents.
    “Indiana State Police will continue to support this effort and community. I spoke with Superintendent Doug Carter and his command staff and we have offered all our available resources to continue to be engaged,” said ISP Sgt. John Perrine.
    In the coming weeks, IMPD also plans to introduce a local ordinance that would give the department more teeth when it comes to holding these suspects accountable. :lmfao:
    Last year, the department also advocated at the Statehouse for Senate Bill 240, but it did not pass. The bill would have increased the penalties for those caught “spinning” or participating in a “street takeover” or fleeing from officers.
    IMPD plans to return to the legislature this year and advocate again for harsher penalties.
    Police are also looking for tools to allow them to seize and forfeit vehicles.

    "We all agreed we are not backing down from IMPD this weekend and next weekend and the weekend after that. We just go location to location. They keep showing up we will keep retaliating," said the masked spinner. "IMPD shouldn't be outside if we are. If they stop showing up, we are not causing no harm. Yes, we started fires, but nothing else caught on fire. We started fire circles. If IMPD wants to keep showing up, we will keep retaliating. They might as well give us a legal pit," he said.

    40 arrests in 18 months, when there are hundreds of people at every event.
