My brother in-law just returned from the gun show in Crown Poit and he paid $800.00

Needless to say I about fell out of my chair. I am seriously considering selling my AR and anything I have to go with it. I could buy a lot of other guns and reloading equipment I would use more and love just as much.

The only bad thing is...., that there aren't any other guns to buy. Everything is gone. :n00b:

You should look into reloading for your ar. I just loaded 1k .223 for under $200.

You should be real proud of yourself. :@ya:

Proud?? Not really - pleased i turned a huge profit - yes.:D I put it in an auction and for kicks dropped a $1200 buy it now. Someone hit buy it now. He contacted me and is very happy to have purchased it.

I do not know where pride would come to play in any of this:dunno:

Guess I should've written it in purple. As long a people keep prostituting ammo, mags, guns, etc prices will remain high. I have stuff I could sell for big bucks but refuse to do that to my fellow shooters for the sake of the almighty dollar. Many of the people *****ing about prices are the same ones that sell items for inflated prices on other sites. Everyone needs to be able to live with themselves though and it appears from your boasting that you don't see anything wrong in what your doing. Hope it's worth it to you. :twocents:

Yeah, because market value determining price is just so damn WRONG and obviously prostitution.

I suppose when the bottom drops out, you also feel that those that purchased high should be able to mandate resale at that price???

Peoples greed, sellers and buyers, are what is driving the prices right now. I've been through this more times than I care to remember since the early 80's. You guys can rationalize it anyway you want but it boils down to greed on both side of the fence. I've said my piece and will argue no further b/c it's useless. :twocents:

This is not socialism - it is capitalism (although there are those who would like to make it otherwise). I capitalized on an opportunity to turn a profit. I did not force the guy to hit buy it now? In fact just today I sold 100 rounds of PMC 223 on gunbroker for $50. A lot less for what it has been selling for lately. Started the auction at 99 cents with no reserve. That is the risk with an auction. :twocents::twocents:

I am reloading but it still doesnt seem worth it anymore with all the hype, high prices, and lack of availability. Hope things will come back down or I may pull the trig on selling off some stuff and consolidating my collection again.

Those are what always drive prices, its called the free market. It can drive prices up or down depending upon supply/demand/a whole bunch of other stuff.

Fundamentally, a product is worth exactly what a person is willing to pay for it; it is the buyer who sets the market price not the seller.

I ask again, are we morally obligated to buy stuff at an inflated price too just because thats what the seller paid?

I've said my piece and will argue no further b/c it's useless. :twocents:

Yeah sure. I'll believe that when I see you stop these drive by crappings on other peoples threads from your imaginary lofty pedastal of moral superiority.

Depending on when you bought it, that's probably a great return on investment!

I wish I had put everything I had into brass 5.56. I would be shipping day and night and laughing all the way to the bank.

Ok, one more just because this is so funny. I bite my tongue more than I post about BS like this. Did you think that line up yourself or borrow it from someone else. Anyone that knows me will laugh at your statement as well. :lmfao:
