And now for the rest of the story.........

For anyone who would care for a historical perspective lesson in this matter, this is no different from the Sullivan Act of 1911, a law that disarmed the law abiding people of New York.

In the wake of a notorious Gramercy Park blueblood murder-suicide, the Sullivan Act was passed by the NY Legislature to halt further such crimes, by outlawing the possession of an unlicensed weapon. In reality, gangsters had been bitterly complaining to State Senator Timothy Sullivan, via Tammany Hall, that their victims sometimes shot back at them.

Sullivan knew the criminals would flout the law, but appearances were more important than results.

Little has changed over the last 102 years.

Under the new NY law, NY health care professionals are required to report patients names to the state if they feel a person might be a danger to themselves or others. Think about the ramifications. How many gun owners will now not seek professional help for problems they may have because they will be reported. Fewer people seeking help will likely mean fewer people getting help. How does this help? And you thought your medical records were confidential!

Mental Health Experts Worry New York Gun Laws May Discourage Proper Treatment

And how exactly do you prove a Hi-Cap steel AK or AR mag is post 94 :dunno:

Polymer, maybe by when it was introduced into the market place but one made of steel, well they have been turning them out since 1950 for AK mags and the early 60's for AR mags

Hilarious that 10 round mags are grandfathered, but can only be loaded with 7 rounds. What is the logic behind the 7 rounds? Anything more than 7 can kill people?

Well since it took the lady in Alanta ??? 5 shots to drive off one attacker, people in NY can sleep easy knowing that they can drive off 1 and 2/5 attackers.

I am sure those yahoos think its like the movies where one bullet drives an assailant back 10 feet and they collapse instantly.

    Cars should be next!

Let's take the anti's "logic" to another area where tragedies are occurring every day- AUTOMOBILES.

There is a percentage of people who drive vehicles while intoxicated or distracted or texting.

If those vehicles are going "too fast" (pick a number at random, sort of how NY came up with "7 is OK, but 8 leads to mass shooting success"), then those individuals could lose control and kill LOTS of people if they drive into a crowd.

Thus, NONE OF US should have access to automobiles capable of driving over the speed limit deemed as "SAFE" by our masters. After all, vehicle fatalities in this country outweigh firearm fatalities probably fifty to one each year!

We should DEMAND action right away!!!

Then, we can all just drive cars not capable of driving faster than the average bicycle. Those six hour commutes are gonna be GREAT!!!

Wonder what the antis would say to that line of logic, since it is EXACTLY the same as they are using in reference to guns???
