Sweet, New York and Chicago can be fine examples of how gun control does not work.

Just like California shows how entitlements aren't affordable and Detroit a shining example of unions.

Sit back and let them rot.

I'm curious how they plan to do background checks on ammo purchases. Will they actually call the fbi like when calling in a 4473? I'm sure the criminals won't figure out they can just drive across state lines and buy ammo  At least their crime rate will drop now. Right guise? guise?

What will happen, they will make ammo purchases such a PITA that vendors will stop selling it. And that is the real goal anyway.

So does the State of NY guarantee that residents shall be safe from violent crime, since they have removed the only serious public safety threat from the hands of would-be criminals?

Or that there will be no more violent crime because there are no more hi-cap 'clips' or evil assault rifles?

Sounds like future crime victims can start suing the State legislature, the Brady Bunch and the Million Moms for deceptive advertising (or propagandizing, whatever)...

And to think cuomo might run for the next presidential election. I shudder at that thought.

The state of New York lost 3 pro gun republicans from upstate in the last election who voted for same sex marriage. Goes to show that the people of new york would rather have their 2A rights stomped on than have same sex marriages.

Isn't it obvious? New York politicians can only count to seven.

I was raised in western New York (not the damn city). Big hunting area and totally the opposite from NYC. Actually, very much like southeastern Indiana, both in landscape and attitude. I see many demonstrations and/or refusal comply. Of course, I haven't lived there since '71.

Disturbing it passed over 2-1. That is a nice list of who needs to be voted out.

Welcome to the Socialist Utopia of New York.
Kindly leave your firearms, common sense, and any shred of independence that you may have at the State line.

I suggest that you learn what "socialism" is before using the word again.

Great, we can start up the ABC campaign now. Anybody But Cuomo.

I guess all of us who ask the repub party to give up on the anti gay marriage platform aren't nuts after all.

Where did you get "we?" The people of New York State are getting exactly what they deserve. If they don't like it, there will be an election soon.

That's exactly how the process should work.

You are mistaken. It IS a "we" issue because The 2nd Amendment applies to the United States of America. They don't need an election to "get back" a right laid out for all citizens of the United States of America by the Constitution.

If you think that is how the process should work, then you may be part of the problem.

So since New York is going to be so safe, does that mean that when Barack Obama isn't going to need secret service when he is in New York? We should save some money on secret service now!
