I posted earlier in the thread that Boomers are becoming increasingly irrelevant. But there's another relevance factor that's steadily taking hold with regards to conservatism.

If conservatives are going to sell their ideas to the next generation, it's gonna have to have a more solid foundation than "because my holy book says so." When deep red Kansas (posted earlier by Ghuns) overwhelmingly says NO to the idea that there is no right to abortion, some would call that a clue.
Do you think that maybe the moral, ethical, and social decline that we observe occurring in the West might have something to do with our culture becoming unmoored from the Judeo-Christian principles that form the foundation of our political and social structure? I don't think even the most avowed skeptics among us realize the power of the stabilizing force that Christianity has had on Western society. Some have been sufficiently circumspect to realize that purging culture of religion might have deleterious effects.

But honestly, the church deserves most of the blame here. We don't live the life Christ asked us to live, and the rest of society becomes jaded by the hypocrisy and unbelief spreads. I've been guilty of that, specifically with some of my interactions with you on here, and for that I apologize.

I get a feeling that is much more grassroots-ish than that. I don't think there is a real propaganda machine on his side - that would take MSM and we know they aren't playing. However I have heard his wife is a real serious promoter of all things DeSantis.
Why would you expect the machine that adopted a strategy to support the most America First candidates in Republican primaries wouldn't play along if their judgement was DeSantis would be easier to beat than Trump or an unknown (at this time) dark horse candidate

They would absolutely fall all over themselves to foment a divisive primary contest that left the base disheartened and Trump potentially on the sidelines

Very true and a very good point. I overlooked for a minute that the dumocraps are trying to run Republican politics now too.
Of course I don't know exactly how they determine who they want to run against.

I do think it is definitely time for Republicans to get involved in dumocrap primaries.

They are not? Horse hockey. They are using him just like they once used Trump. Remember the MSM was pushing Trump in the primary to poke conservatives in the eye? They believed conservatives would abandon Trump in the election making the HRC coronation even easier. Now they must tear down Trump and will use any tool at their disposal.

Yeah, my bad. See reply to Bug right above that.

I think it’s a mistake to exclude non-christian conservatives as not “real” conservatives. I think atheist/agnostic conservatives need to be more accepting of Christian beliefs but there’s some attitudes that need adjusted on the Christian side as well. Unless you guys just want to fight for control of government on your own. I’m about ready to the point of saying **** politics and retire in the wilderness somewhere.

The wilderness is a good place, and it's not like you have to move a long way to find it.

I’ve lost further faith in our country and society after this. Nothing close to the red wave that should’ve happened. People like being controlled and taken care of. Apparent in elections and apparent in Gen Z/millennials attitudes and culture.

I’ve said it before but I give it 2 generations till the US is unrecognizable and is nearly full blown socialism.

Two generations? That's very generous, my friend.

Arizona, which is only the 14th most populous state, is now saying it is impossible to count its own votes in less than a full week.
This doesn’t pass the laugh test. Florida did theirs in a few hours. Arizonians ought to demand better…well, about half of them are supporting democrats, so…
